Reading Rockets - is a national multimedia project offering resources on how children learn to read, why kids struggle and how teachers can help. The teacher section of the site gathers great resources and make them available for free. They encourage you to print out and distribute whatever you need.
LibriVox - This site provides free audiobooks from the public domain. They get most of their texts from Project Gutenberg.
School-Home Links Reading Kit - The activities are organized by reading and literacy skills appropriate to this grade. Under each specific skill, there are varying numbers of activities to help children develop their ability to read and write.

Simple Machines Make Things Go - is a unit that supports a study of the structures and mechanism strand
in the Science curriculum. It presents interesting approaches for students to use in applying
concepts, and for recording the results of their explorations and investigations during the study.
For example, students design, construct, and test a vehicle, recording relevant observations in
writing, graphs, and in oral presentations.
